Women’s vocal group Monday@ JoJo’s will be joining voices from across the state for the California Women’s Chorus Annual Convention and Concert, to be held April 25-27.
The convention will culminate in a benefit concert “Women In Song” on Sunday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at the Hotel Burbank in Burbank. The concert will showcase the members of CWC choruses as well as performances by this year’s winners of the CWC vocal music scholarships.
The women of La Crescenta-based Monday@JoJo’s have performed at a variety of events, including worship services, fundraisers and holiday parties. The group joined CWC in 2019 and are making their third appearance at the annual scholarship concert this year. This talented troupe’s mission is to share their love of music in their local community and to support CWC’s dedication to young voices through scholarship fundraising.
The California Women’s Chorus Inc. is a nonprofit organization devoted to the encouragement of choral singing among women throughout the state of California. The nonprofit raises funds for vocal scholarships, which are presented at the annual CWC Convention Concert. Celebrating its 55th anniversary, CWC has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to outstanding vocal students.
