MADISON, Wis. — The 2025 Money Smart Wisconsin Scholarship is accepting applications starting Wednesday.
The Wisconsin Coalition on Student Debt and the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, Edvest 529 have collaborated for the scholarship program.
Wisconsin high school seniors who will graduate this spring and plan on attending a college or university in the state this fall can apply for a $1000 scholarships.
The application deadline is on March 7 at midnight.
“We are very excited to once again invite our Wisconsin high school seniors to submit an essay explaining how they plan to fund their college education and career training for a chance to receive an Edvest 529 scholarship,” said DFI Secretary Cheryll Olson-Collins. “This contest not only supports students in achieving their academic dreams but also promotes financial literacy, helping them build essential skills for future success.”
To apply, students must answer this year’s questions.
Students will be notified if they won from April 5-11.
