Students Honored at Morris County Vocational School District Awards Ceremony 
 
TPhoto collage of awardeeshe Morris County Board of County Commissioners participated in the Morris County Vocational School District (MCVSD) Annual Awards Recognition Ceremony this week, where they presented the 2025 New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) Foundation Scholarships to this year’s honorees during a ceremony held at the school’s campus in Denville. 
Commissioners Douglas Cabana and Thomas Mastrangelo joined NJAC Executive Director John Donnadio, MCVSD Superintendent Dr. Anita Champagne and MCVSD Board President Barbara Dawson in recognizing the scholarship recipients for their academic achievements and community involvement. 
“This program highlights the strong partnership between county government, our vocational-technical school and the corporate community. We’re grateful to the NJAC Foundation and its generous sponsors for supporting the futures of these talented students,” said Commissioner Cabana. 
“The NJAC Foundation scholarships recognize outstanding students for both academic excellence and civic engagement. We are proud to support these future leaders as they continue their education,” said Commissioner Mastrangelo. 
The 2025 NJAC scholarship recipients included seven recent graduates of MCVSD: Aditya Kapadia of Parsippany, Jessie Weiman of Randolph, Hannah Anderson of Madison, Amanda Maloku of Wayne, Alexandria Diaz of Wharton, Liam O’Connell of Flanders and Andrew Shapiro of Denville. 
The scholarships were made possible by contributions from Amazon, AT&T, Investors Bank (a division of Citizens Bank), NJM Insurance Group, PSE&G and SHI International Corporation. 
 
In total, the NJAC Foundation awarded more than $110,000 in scholarships this year to county vocational-technical school graduates across New Jersey who plan to continue their education at county or state colleges and universities.
