Youngsville Middle/Senior High School senior Nathan Lucks was awarded the $10,000 Ellwood Industrial Maintenance Scholarship. The scholarship will support his pursuit of a degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance at Alfred State College of Technology.
While at Alfred State College of Technology, Lucks will also have a position on the school’s D3 baseball team as a pitcher.
Principal Mr. Crider said, “Ellwood picked a good one, he is a really good kid.”
Ellwood awards Industrial Maintenance Scholarships as an investment in students from communities where Ellwood has a location. “We like to invest in people who invest in themselves; Nathan is a great example,” said Quyrus Epps, Director of Team Member Relations with Ellwood.
Lucks will have a job at Ellwood when he graduates from his program at Alfred State.
