The National Association of University Women presented $1000 scholarships to the following student scholars at their annual Scholarship Luncheon on June 7, 2025 at Carey Hilliard.
Quentin Brooks has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, maintaining High Honor Roll and enrolling in university-level courses. By the end of his senior year, he earned 28 college credit hours. Quentin is an accomplished golfer, earning first place at both the Savannah Jr. Golf Tournament at Deer Creek and the Savannah Golf Club. He is Bethesda Academy’s valedictorian for 2025! He will be attending Savannah State University!
Taliyah Lewis was a dual-enrollment student, she has demonstrated exceptional academic ability and time management by successfully balancing high school and college coursework. In addition to her studies, Taliyah is a dedicated member of the volleyball team, known for her teamwork, commitment, and positive influence.
Taliyah plans to attend Kennesaw State University, majoring in Nursing to become a Traveling Pediatric Nurse!
Skylar Scott served as Teen President and Teen Treasurer of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. ; Involved for six years on a competitive dance team, involved in Mock Trials through Savannah Law Program, in National Beta Club, National Honor Society, and Future Business Leaders of America. She will be attending Spelman College.
Cynthia Timmons was elected Homecoming Queen in Fall 2024, she is also a standout multi-sport athlete, earning region honors in basketball, flag football, volleyball, and soccer—including the title of Region 3A-DII Offensive Player of the Year. Academically, she was a consistent honor-roll achiever. She plans to attend Fort Valley State University majoring in Ultrasound Technology.
