Twenty-two Darien High School seniors have been named commended students in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program, the school recently announced.

Principal, Ellen Dunn and Director of School Counseling Cathy Oster presented each of these scholastically talented seniors with a letter of commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise.

Jacob Abraham, Ian Bozzuto, Claire Chan, James Coe, Matthew DelVecchio, Brady Eldredge, Tristha Fernandes, Christopher Finnegan, Joseph Hill, James Hoffman, Nathan Hu, Brandon Kuo, Kellan Leonard, Michael Lin, Katharine Massey, Rithik Melwani, Anna Qin, Sean Roberts, Madeline Smaldon, Flynn Sullivan, Ryan Xing and Selen Yasanliel.

Dog Licenses are available beginning June 1, and it will cost dog owners more if they don’t get a new license by June 30, the end of the month, according to an announcement on the Darien government website. (more…)
