The Northern Arizona University Foundation and Univision Arizona have announced the first recipient of the Tu Futuro scholarship program.
Dayana Amaya, a recent graduate of West Point High School in Avondale, was announced as the scholarship recipient during a May 21 reception. She was selected from almost 400 applicants based on an interview and essay describing the impact of a college degree, both personally and to the Hispanic community.
