LINCOLN — The Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation has awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships to 65 students to help the next generation of the agriculture industry in their academic pursuits.
Scholarship recipients from Central Nebraska include:
ALBION: Braden Benes, $1,200 Vance Uden Memorial Scholarship; Gavin Dozler, $1,500 Beef State Finalist Scholarship; Cassidy Maricle, $1,000 Retail Value Steer Challenge Scholarship
AMHERST: Breanna Bosshamer, $1,200 Frank & Shirley Sibert Scholarship
AYR: Carter Auten, $1,000 Retail Value Steer Challenge Scholarship
BROKEN BOW: Keelyn Shea, $1,000 Retail Value Steer Challenge Scholarship
CAIRO: William Ford, $1,000 Retail Value Steer Challenge Scholarship
DONIPHAN: Haley Robb, $1,200 Jim & Helen Gran Scholarship
HENDERSON: Zachary Miller, $1,000 Retail Value Steer Challenge Scholarship
MINDEN: Sam Cederburg, $1,200 Todd Ricenbaw Memorial Scholarship
