KEARNEY — The Nebraska Health Care Foundation awarded more than $47,000 in scholarships and grants related to long-term care at the Nebraska Nursing Facility Association-Nebraska Assisted Living Association spring convention on April 24.
Scholarships were awarded to individuals from across the state who are continuing their education in long-term care. Area recipients include:
Belinda Coble, Brookestone View, Broken Bow, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Training Scholarship and American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living Congressional Briefing Scholarship; Paige Simpson, Tiffany Square Care Center, Grand Island, Nurse Advancement Scholarship and an RN Scholarship; Shannon Powers, Brookestone View, Broken Bow, American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living Annual Convention Scholarship; and Tiffany Zahnow, Good Samaritan Society, Albion, American Health Care Association-National Center for Assisted Living Congressional Briefing Scholarship
Scholarship funds are made available through Health Care Information Systems, Sysco Lincoln, Nye Health Services, The Olson Group, Quality First Insurance, and The Vetter Foundation, in partnership with NHCF. The Safe Resident Assistance Grant is made possible by the West Bend Charitable Foundation.
