Canadian culinary students pay attention — A new scholarship opportunity is here to help you pursue your dreams!
With roots in Ontario and over a century in the industry, Balderson Cheese has been committed to preserving and elevating the craft of cheesemaking, ensuring that the beloved cheese dishes we enjoy today will continue to delight for future generations, which is why they have launched the Artisan Cheesemakers Scholarship.
“The Balderson Scholarship is our way of investing in the future of cheesemaking,” said Bindia Wijesekera, Senior Brand Manager at Balderson Cheese. “We want to encourage the craftsmanship that is at the heart of our brand and encourage prospective cheese artisans to explore this highly-skilled field.”

Up to 25 recipients interested in furthering their love of cheese can have part or all of their tuition paid for! Each recipient will receive a one-time scholarship award of $2,000 and applications are open now until Feb. 18, 2025.
Looking to enhance your skills and further your craft? To be eligible, applicants have to be enrolled in a full-time cheesemaker or dairy processing and cheese technology program at a recognized post-secondary school in Canada.

Each scholarship recipient will receive $2,000 awarded in two parts — $1,000 upon enrollment in an approved program, and $1,000 upon successful program completion.
