The fundraiser is taking place this weekend.
The fourth annual Michael G. Fitzpatrick Foundation Garden Party, is set for Sunday at Bucks County Community College’s Tyler Gardens.
The event, which supports scholarships for students pursuing public service careers, will run from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the gardens on Swamp Road in Newtown Township.
Tickets and donations will be accepted at the door.
The Michael G. Fitzpatrick Foundation is a nonprofit organization established by the family and friends of the late Michael G. Fitzpatrick, the former Bucks County commissioner and congressman.
Jim Fitzpatrick, father of the late Congressman and current Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, said the foundation is a “legacy and a tribute to Michael, whose often-stated commitment was public service, civic duty and always the people of Bucks County.”
“We’re committed to honoring his legacy with an ongoing scholarship program that can help launch the future careers of some similarly dedicated Bucks County kids year after year,” he added.
This year’s scholarship recipients, known as Fitzpatrick Scholars, along with incoming student awardees, will be recognized at Sunday’s event.
