As the Darrin Reed Foundation prepares for its biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Memorial Dinner on April 12, the nonprofit celebrated a major milestone on March 27 by awarding $20,000 in scholarships to nine White Mountain area students during a special banquet at the Buffalo Nickel Brewery and Event Center in Show Low.
Scholarship recipients from Blue Ridge High School included Tristan Rodgers, Georgia Kerr, Jackson Woods and Kadee Larson. From Show Low High School, recipients were Paige Hart and Max Freund, while St. Johns High School students included Kaitlyn Nielsen, Tristan Greene and Halli Haelbig.
