LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The Lima Rotarians had a busy afternoon as the club awarded its quarterly scholarships.
Nine nontraditional students received certificates recognizing their awards. The scholarships are valued at $1,000 for degree programs in the upcoming semester, aimed at helping students achieve their career goals.
“To be able to receive this award, I’m very grateful, and I appreciate the extra help that I’m getting to be able to make this goal possible. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without it. It would have been a lot,” said Danielle Mikesell, a recipient in the early childhood education program at Apollo Career Center.
