Noblesville Rotary Club gives defibrillator & $26,000 in scholarships to Ivy Tech Hamilton County – ReadTheReporter.com

Ivy Tech Community College Hamilton County is celebrating a dual gift from the Noblesville Rotary Club that will directly benefit both the safety and success of students.
The Rotary Club recently donated a defibrillator to the campus, ensuring immediate access to life-saving equipment in case of a cardiac emergency. In addition, the club presented Ivy Tech Hamilton County with a $26,000 contribution to fund scholarships through the Noblesville Rotary Ivy Tech Scholarship Fund for Hamilton County students pursuing their education and career goals.
“We are deeply grateful to the Noblesville Rotary Club for this extraordinary generosity,” Ivy Tech Hamilton County Chancellor Dr. Rachel Kartz. “The gift of a defibrillator provides peace of mind for our campus community, while the scholarship support removes barriers and opens doors for our students to thrive. Both represent the Rotary Club’s lasting impact on our campus and Hamilton County.”

Noblesville Rotary Club President Jeff Chinn emphasized the club’s mission of service and community betterment.
“Rotary is committed to improving the communities we serve, and supporting Ivy Tech Hamilton County with both safety resources and scholarships is a powerful way to make a difference,” Chinn said. “We are honored to partner with the college in preparing students for their futures while ensuring a safe learning environment.”
The scholarship funds were raised through the club’s annual BrewBQ fundraiser, held on Aug. 9 at Federal Hill Commons in Noblesville. The event welcomed 450 attendees who enjoyed barbecue tastings from 16 grill teams, beverages from four local vendors, live music, and community fellowship. BrewBQ raised a total of $27,000 this year, with Ivy Tech Hamilton County receiving $26,000 and Noblesville High School Robotics Club receiving $5,000.
Since 2019, BrewBQ has contributed more than $117,500 to Ivy Tech Hamilton County and Noblesville High School, showcasing the Noblesville Rotary Club’s continued commitment to service above self and strengthening community ties.
