James “Jim” Glines
James “Jim” Glines
The Rotary Club of Santa Maria Noontime has established the James ‘Jim’ Glines Memorial Scholarship, a $1,000 annual award established through the Allan Hancock College (AHC) Foundation.
The scholarship will provide support to a student in the AHC Rodeo Program, continuing Gline’s legacy of dedication to education and youth development.
Glines, affectionately known as “Mr. Santa Maria,” was a beloved friend to many of the club’s members and a revered community leader, said club President Nancy Crawford. His generosity, passion, and commitment to service positively impacted countless lives.
A pivotal figure in the Allan Hancock College Booster Club, Glines played an essential role in founding the AHC Rodeo Program, ensuring students had the opportunity to pursue their academic and rodeo aspirations.
