Applications for the 2025 Scholarship Program are now open for local high school students. According to a press release, the North Central Massachusetts Chamber Foundation is accepting applications for approximately 25 college scholarships.
These scholarships support students who plan to continue their education. The funding comes from contributions made by members of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce.
In 2025, the Foundation will introduce a new non-traditional scholarship aimed at students pursuing trade programs or vocational training. This addition aims to expand opportunities for diverse career pathways for students in the region.
Students who wish to apply should contact their high school guidance department. Each participating school can submit a limited number of applicants each year. A committee of Chamber members will review the applications. The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 3, 2025.
Since its inception, the North Central Massachusetts Chamber Foundation has awarded over$1 million in scholarships. Many of these awards are named in honor of prominent members of the local business community, recognizing their philanthropy and commitment to the region.
The Chamber Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the area through charitable activities. The funds raised are primarily allocated to education and workforce development initiatives, as well as other charitable activities in North Central Massachusetts. This includes scholarships for eligible applicants and grants to support economic and community development projects.
Donations to support the scholarship program are welcomed. Contributions can be mailed to the North Central Massachusetts Chamber Foundation at 860 South St., Fitchburg, MA 01420, or made securely online at www.northcentralmass.com/donate.
