At North Pitt High School, Ashley Cartledge had a reputation for having the power to move her students — and not just because she was a dance teacher. She was a coach, a confidant and a creative influence.
Beyond the school where she had invested 14 years of her career, Cartledge was in the spotlight at the state and national level, serving as president of the North Carolina Dance Education Organization and presenting at the National Dance Education Conference in the fall of 2024.

The North Pitt High School talent show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school’s performing arts center. Admission is $5.
