Several scholarships are available for Rising Sun High School students.

(Ohio County, Ind.) – Applications for the 2025 High School Scholarship Program administered by the Ohio County Community Foundation are currently available online.
Rising Sun High School seniors were distributed information concerning the scholarship program and a scholarship timeline. Applicants wishing to apply must visit the OCCF website at occfrisingsun.com and apply online through the Scholarships/High School application link. Information for each scholarship is located on the website and the program page of each application. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 28, 2025 by 3:00 p.m.
The following scholarships are available for current year, graduating seniors from Rising Sun High School who meet the scholarship criteria: American Legion Auxiliary Post #59, Anderson-Mondary Scholarship, Dana Lee Ballard Memorial Scholarship, Don Beckett DVM Memorial Scholarship, Denise Ann Beyer Memorial Scholarship, Donald Bowman Memorial Scholarship (available to Rising Sun High School and Switzerland County High School students), David & Becky Brown Scholarship, Phyllis A. Brown Memorial Scholarship, Thomas & John Cooper Memorial Scholarship, Randy & Debbie Eaglin Scholarship, Fulfilling Dreams Scholarship, Edward & Grace Gray Memorial Scholarship, Gary Green Scholarship, David Hewitt Memorial Scholarship, Charles & Hazel Johnson Memorial Scholarship, Gerald & Patricia Johnson Memorial Scholarship, Pat & Gary Kinnett Scholarship in Memory of their son “Ken Kinnett”, Learning Tree of Ohio County Scholarship, Wilma Lohide Scholarship, Lois C. & Gertrude Shockley Keller Memorial Scholarship, Ohio County 4-H Scholarship, OCCF Board of Directors Scholarship, Ohio County Joint Community Scholarship, Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship, Elizabeth and IEO Vaughn Pursuing Their Dreams Scholarship, and the Brinson Williamson Memorial Scholarship.

Anyone can make contributions to an established fund within the Foundation by submitting their donation to the: Ohio County Community Foundation, 330 Industrial Access Drive, PO Box 170, Rising Sun, IN 47040. Gifts may be made in memory of or in honor of a friend or loved one. Donations to OCCF administered funds are tax deductible in most cases.
