Odessa College to honor cross-country athlete with scholarship and memorial 5k run – CBS7
ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – Last week, Odessa College Wrangler Athletics lost one of its student-athletes.
Gage Broomall was a cross-country runner for Odessa College. He died at practice on Thursday.
Odessa College Athletic Director Wayne Baker shared that the college and Broomall’s family are creating a scholarship in his name.
The college is also holding a memorial 5k run on September 20. The effort is to help set up the future of the scholarship and to honor Gage Broomall with his teammates.
The 5k will start at the track, continue around campus and end back at the track. The run will start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20.
