Briana Thoeny, Ogilvie FFA member, was recipient of one of the 45 James W. Tracy awards handed out at the Minnesota FFA Convention April 28-29 in the Twin Cities.
The James W. Tracy Scholarships are awarded to Minnesota residents who are pursuing careers in agriculture or animal husbandry. Each is a $2,500 scholarship made possible by Tracy, who was a Dennison, Minnesota, farmer whose desire was to support youth in FFA and 4-H to see agriculture and rural America remain strong. 2025 is the scholarship program’s 10th year.
Thoeny, the daughter of Kevin and Stacy Thoeny, is planning to continue her education at the University of Minnesota – Crookston and has signed to ride for its equestrian team while pursuing an agricultural degree.
