Oklahoma expands ‘Oklahoma Promise Scholarship’ program to children of veteran teachers – KSWO 7News

OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) – A bill that aims to help children of longtime public school teachers qualify for a scholarship is set to go into law.
It expands the “Oklahoma Promise Scholarship” to include children of full-time Oklahoma teachers.
It only requires educators to have taught in Oklahoma for at least ten years, and the household income to be under 700 percent of the federal poverty level.
The bill will go into effect on July 1.
