HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A Decatur Red Raider will continue his wrestling career in the Ivy League.
Oliver Howard, who won a 6A State Wrestling Championship (175 lb division), signed an athletic scholarship to Columbia.
I’m super excited mainly because it’s something that I’ve been working on my whole life,” Howard said after signing. “As far as the wrestling, it’s a testament to the academics as well. I started wrestling twelve years ago and to see it finally pay off is really nice.”
Howard wrestled for two State titles during his junior and senior year respectively.
