Ontario Shores Federal Credit Union is offering local high school seniors a chance to win scholarships for college. The scholarships are open to students from Newfane, Wilson, Medina, Barker and Lyndonville central schools, in addition to any Ontario Shores FCU members attending other area high schools.
To be eligible, students must be high school seniors attending two- or four-year accredited educational institutions for the first time in the fall of 2017. Students will be judged based upon their academic performance, extracurricular and community activities and the quality of a written essay. This the 19th year Ontario Shores has offered its scholarship program, awarding more than $61,000 since its inception.
For applications, students can go to their guidance counselor’s office or visit the Ontario Shores website at osfcu.com. Applications are also available at both Ontario Shores locations — 2890 Transit Road, Newfane and 4200 Salt Works Road, Medina. Call 778-7423 for more information.
