The whole process of applying to and attending college is a little daunting. And let’s face it, a big part of that is trying to figure out how to pay for your education. That’s why we’ve put together this list of resources for finding scholarships for high school seniors. Every one of these sites lists scholarship opportunities, so take a scroll through them to kick off the search.
Access Scholarships
Access Scholarships, allows you to search for scholarships, read through dozens of blog posts on opportunities for various student groups, take advantage of their student resources, and even apply for their easy scholarships! And it’s all free!
American Indian College Fund
The American Indian College Fund provides scholarship opportunities to students of their 35 accredited tribal college partners, and you will automatically be considered for funding if you are a full-time student at one of these schools. Since 1989, 143,281 scholarships have been awarded, and over 200 Native American tribes have been supported by their work!
Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholars (APIA)
The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholars mobilizes resources to create opportunities for students to access, complete, and succeed after post-secondary education. Since 2003, 7,200 scholars have been awarded scholarships.
College Board
If you’ve taken an AP class (and that AP test) in high school, you’re probably already familiar with the College Board. They also have a scholarship search tool with results from more than 2,200 programs.
CollegeXpress
Since 1995, CollegeXpress has helped connect students with the right schools and scholarships for them. Not only can you easily search and apply for $7 billion in scholarships, but you can also get matched to the best schools for you and read expert advice about the college admission process.
DoSomething.org
Congrats, you’re already here! Not only does DoSomething empower young people to volunteer, do community service, and transform their communities — we also offer scholarships for doing it! No essays, GPA requirements, or recommendations needed. Ever. Check out DoSomething’s easy volunteer scholarships, some of which you can qualify for in under five minutes!
Edvisors
You can find some pretty unique scholarships within Edvisors’ different lists. Definitely take a look through the “Weird and Unusual Scholarships” list, which has featured scholarships related to everything from bull-riding to beef-loving.
Fastweb
Fastweb has roughly 1.5 million scholarships available on its site. Before you can really get started, you’ll need to make a profile, but rest assured, it’s for a good reason. Fastweb matches you with scholarships specifically targeted to your strengths, interests, and skills.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)
As an HSF Scholar, you will have access to HSF’s invaluable Scholar Support Services and be eligible to receive a scholarship, depending on available funds. Every year, HSF selects approximately 10,000 outstanding students as HSF Scholars from a broad and talented pool of applicants. HSF Scholars have access to a full range of invaluable Scholar Support Services, including career services, mentorship, leadership development, knowledge building, and wellness training
Niche
A cool feature of Niche’s scholarship search tool is their “Easy to Apply” section. You can filter for scholarship opportunities that don’t require essays, GPA, or letters of recommendation for fast application.
Unigo
With Unigo, you can approach the scholarship search from so many different angles (college, state, major, etc.). They host over $34 billion worth of scholarships, and they even have a section dedicated to scholarships for high school seniors.
United Negro College Fund (UNCF)
UNCF is the nation’s largest private scholarship provider to minority group members. Each year, they award more than $100 million in scholarships to students attending more than 1,100 schools across the country, including their prestigious network of 37 HBCUs.
