Fairfield High School’s Class of 2025 were awarded upwards of $1,074,000 in scholarships during their annual Seniors Honor Assembly held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
The annual event recognized the accomplishments and achievements of this year’s graduates throughout their time at FHS. Seniors were given cords, sashes, scholarships, and awards for these accomplishments.
Principal Sonya Gibson welcomed the students, faculty, family, and friends to the ceremony and asked the seniors to “always carry a very special place in your heart for Fairfield High.”

–The University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas presented a Presidential Scholarship in the amount of $12,000 per year for four years totaling $48,000; a Frontier Scholarship in the amount of $16,060 per year for four years totaling $64,240; and an Ozarks Annual Fund Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 per year for four years totaling $4,000 for a grand total of $116,240 to Jerry Draper. Jerry will be a student coach for the school next year.
–The University of Texas at Tyler presented an Employee Dependent Scholarship that covers tuition and fees in the amount of $9,600 per year for four years totaling $38,400 to Joshua George.
–Navarro College presents a Band Scholarship in the amount of $1,400 per year for two years totaling $2,800 to Rey Ramirez.

–Stephen F. Austin State University presented an Academic Excellence Scholarship in the amount of $3,500 per year for four years totaling $14,000 to Benjamin Kilkenny.
