DULUTH — Paige Haugen was awarded a $500 scholarship to the Hollywood Summer Tour at the Celebration Talent Dance Competition in Duluth.
Haugen, who dances at Fusion Center in Bemidji, completed a contemporary solo and received a platinum award at the top competitive level.

Only one senior soloist is chosen at each regional competition to attend the Hollywood Summer Tour program in Los Angeles to further their dance training and prep for pursuing a professional dance career.
The Hollywood Summer Tour is an intensive, invitation-only program for advanced dancers wishing to pursue a career in commercial dance in Los Angeles. The tour is comprised of three levels, which encompass dancers of all ages.
Dancers are given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be mentored by top professionals living and working in the Los Angeles entertainment industry. Students will participate in classes at prestigious LA studios (Millennium Dance Complex, T Molly Studios), work with top choreographers, shoot music videos, attend live TV show tapings (So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Got Talent), receive a photo shoot, attend dance educational seminars and showcase their talent in front of top agents.
