Pakistan to launch knowledge corridor with Bangladesh, offers 500 scholarships – The Business Standard

Pakistan has announced the launch of a “Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor,” coinciding with the visit of its Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, to Dhaka.
“The project envisages grant of 500 scholarships to Bangladeshi students for pursuing higher studies in Pakistan during the next five years,” according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, issued today (24 August).
A quarter of these scholarships will be awarded in the field of medicine, it stated.
Coinciding with the visit of DPM/FM @MIshaqDar50 to Bangladesh, Pakistan is pleased to launch “Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor.” The project envisages grant of 500 scholarships to Bangladeshi students for pursuing higher studies in Pakistan during the next five years. A…
In addition, Pakistan will arrange training programmes for 100 Bangladeshi civil servants during the same period.
The country has also increased the number of scholarships offered under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme for Bangladeshi students from five to 25, it added.
