Parkman Grange awards pair of Minnie Welts Bridge Scholarships – Piscataquis Observer
PARKMAN — The Parkman Grange awarded two SAD 4-area college students Minnie Welts Bridge Scholarships of $500 each for the 2025-26 school year. Winners this year are Sydney Hutchins or Parkman, a nursing major at Husson University, and Hannah Bulley (Dow) of Houlton (formerly Guilford), an education major at the University of Maine Presque Isle.
Minnie Welts Bridge was a life-long Parkman resident, a teacher and a Grange member. She passed away in 2011 at the age of 102. Since then the Parkman Grange has awarded a total of $19,000 in scholarships in her memory.
