– Paso Robles Sunrise Rotary awarded four $2,500 scholarships to Paso Robles High School graduating seniors during the scholarship night. President Les Simmons said, “These recipients demonstrate a strong work ethic, and understand the value of community service.”
The club gave a special thanks to Pleasant Valley Wine Trail and Trelleborg, LLC, who provided additional funding to help increase the club’s impact.
In addition to academic scholarships, Sunrise Rotary has partnered with Cuesta College and the Pipefitters Union to fund vocational scholarships. The club is also working with California Polytechnic State University to fund viticulture scholarships for students from the North County.
Sunrise Rotary offers opportunities for networking, fellowship, and community service. The club holds evening meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the Elks Club, 1420 Park St., at 5:30 p.m. Morning meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays at Angela’s Pastries, 1401 Park St. The club is actively seeking new members.
