BRAINTREE, RANDOLPH, MA: The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, is pleased to announce that Jessenia Castro of Randolph, Massachusetts, has been awarded a New England Past President’s Scholarship by the Boston Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) to pursue a Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation.
The New England Past President’s Scholarship encourages education and industry knowledge by assisting recipients with the cost of tuition associated with earning an IREM credential.
Castro, who joined the Peabody Companies in September of 2002, is a specialized community portfolio manager at St. Joseph’s Community in Roxbury, Bradley Properties in Boston, Roxse Homes in Boston, Brownstone Apartments in Boston, and Charlesview Residences in Brighton.
The scholarship award will cover a significant portion of the tuition associated with earning her CPM. The designation is considered the premier public sector property management certification world-wide and is based on a selected set of competencies.
Castro is also the recent recipient of the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA) NAHP-e (National Affordable Housing Professional – Executive Level) award and was recognized as the 2024 Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) of the Year during the IREM Boston Chapter’s Annual Holiday Celebration and Awards.
“Congratulations to Jessenia for not only for receiving the IREM Past President’s Scholarship, but also for continuing her professional journey within her chosen industry,” said Erin Simas, learning and development manager with the Peabody Companies.
