The Philanthropic Education Organization (P.E.O.) Chapter DD has announced this year’s scholarship recipients.
Luka Ogden received a Marguerite Scholarship. She is currently attending George Fox University and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business. Ogden aspires to own a business in holistic healthcare.
Isabel Sayer was awarded an Oregon Scholarship. She plans to continue working toward a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Oregon Health and Science University located on the Oregon Institute of Technology campus in Klamath Falls.
The mission of P.E.O. is “Where women motivate, educate and celebrate women.”
The chapter is able to provide local scholarships through an annual berry sale. Each June members take orders for locally grown, flash-frozen blueberries and blackberries.
Berries will be ready for pickup in August. To receive an order form, email a request to [email protected].
Other fundraisers for the chapter are a yard sale planned for June 20-21 in the Evangelical Church Activity Gym, along with a Bunco and silent auction event on Oct. 11.
