Kris Koestner President of the Centerville Concert Association recently presented a $2,000 check to Paul Peterson, Director of the Albia Community Choir and retired Albia music educator for the Peterson Music Scholarships to be awarded to Albia Community High School students.
“Albia’s business community and citizens have been generous supporters for many years and the CCA sincerely appreciates your continued support and attendance of the Centerville Concert Association,” said Koestner. “This is our way of saying thanks to our neighbors to the North of Centerville.”

The Albia Community Choir hold its’ 16th annual concert, “I’ll Be On My Way” Thursday, April 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Albia at 7:30 p.m. A second concert will be performed in Centerville at the First United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 13 at 3 p.m. Admission is free for everyone and a basket for donations to be utilized for music scholarships will be available.
