Pickles and corn may make for an odd meal, but Pickleball and Cornhole make an amazing pairing for a Scholarship Slam. The first annual event, hosted by North Central Board of Realtors (NCBOR) will take place March 15 from 7:30 to 5 at Legacy Racquet and Fitness.
Tournaments will be held for both sports and teams can register for $50 per event. A t-shirt and lunch will also be included.
Anthony Galluzzo says the cornhole tournament’s format will allow participants to bring their own partners and have a chance to play with new teammates.

Money raised from both tournaments and sponsors goes toward investing in the future by providing scholarships to graduating area students. Jared Allen with Peglar Real Estate says the scholarships can benefit any student attending any school.

NCBOR is still seeking sponsors and businesses can become a sponsor for $250.
Allen and Kyler Robbins are part of the Scholarship Committee, a group of local realtors who try to raise funds for these students. This event is one of their many campaigns.
