A student from Pierre is one of five educational scholarship recipients from the South Dakota Retailers Association.
Ellie Noyes received a $3,200 scholarship to continue her education in Business Administration/Marketing and Foods & Nutrition. She plans to work in the food service industry and wants to eventually own her own restaurant.
Retailers Scholarship Chair Samantha Tupper is impressed by all five of this year’s scholarship winners.
I’m very encouraged by this group of entrepreneurs. I look forward to watching their businesses succeed and our communities benefit from their presence and service.”
The financial assistance was awarded to students who are planning for a future in retail business, with a total of almost $16,500 being distributed between the five scholarship winners.
Along with Noyes, the other students awarded scholarships are:
Samuel Kingsbury, Rapid City– Kingsbury received an $3,875 scholarship to pursue his degree in Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance. Kingsbury intends to join his family’s business.

Jacob Johnke, Sioux Falls– Johnke received a $3,400 scholarship to complete his education in Business Administration with the goal of growing his existing construction and landscaping business.

Kaitlynn Rudebusch, Watertown– Rudebusch received a $3,000 scholarship and is looking forward to a role in hotel management upon completion of her Business Administration degree.

Jace Jellis, Watertown– Jellis received a $3,000 scholarship to help pay for his education in Diesel Technology. Jellis eventually plans to own his own diesel repair shop.
