The deadline to nominate a student-athlete for the 2024-2025 Positive Athlete awards and scholarships in May 9. Georgia closed its nomination period on April 4.
Pro Football and College Football Hall of Fame player Champ Bailey is a part of the Positive Athlete program that has handed-out a half-million dollars worth scholarships, so far. He joins me on the High School Football America Podcast to talk about why he got involved in the program that is open to student-athletes in grades 9-12.
Positive Athlete is a recognition program that celebrates high character, high school student-athletes and coaches who have overcome difficult circumstances, given back to their schools and communities in a significant way, or just have an infectious positive attitude that makes everyone around them a better person.

WHO CAN I NOMINATE?
Nominations can be made for any high school student-athlete (grades 9-12) or coach, male or female, in any sport, from any state around the country! You can nominate as many Positive Athletes and Coaches as you would like, as there are probably many at your school!
WHO CAN NOMINATE?
Any adult can nominate! Most of our nominations come from coaches, parents, administrators, teachers, fans and community members. We encourage schools to share our information out to their school communities so that no young person is overlooked for our awards and scholarships!
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Once a nomination is made, that nominee is automatically eligible for all applicable awards and scholarships based on their sport(s) categories, location and story. We will follow up with the nominee through email for more information and pictures once the nomination is validated by our team.
