The annual Veterans Dinner was held at Veterans Memorial Inc. (VMI) in Port Allegany on Saturday night. Wayne Thomas was the evening’s master of ceremonies, presenting three 2024 graduates of Port Allegany High School with $1,000 scholarships. Awarded the Roxie Taylor Volunteer Scholarship was Julia Postlewait. The Paul Maynard Scholarship of Courage was awarded to Anastasia Robbins and Alana Corey. PAHS Superintendent and U.S. Army veteran Paula Newell was a guest speaker.
