Pro and College Football Hall of Famer Champ Bailey wants high school administrators, coaches and parents to know about Positive Athlete’s great scholarship program.

Positive Athlete is a recognition program that celebrates high character, high school student-athletes and coaches who have overcome difficult circumstances, given back to their schools and communities in a significant way, or just have an infectious positive attitude that makes everyone around them a better person.

The Positive Athlete program is open to student-athletes in all sports. So far, the group has awarded over a half-million dollars in scholarships.
Below, listen to why Champ believes in the Positive Athlete approach to saluting student-athletes for what they are doing in sports and in life.

The deadline to nominate a student-athlete is April 4 in Georgia and May 9 in every other state.
Below are details on the Positive Athlete Program from its website:
WHO CAN I NOMINATE?
Nominations can be made for any high school student-athlete (grades 9-12) or coach, male or female, in any sport, from any state around the country! You can nominate as many Positive Athletes and Coaches as you would like, as there are probably many at your school!
WHO CAN NOMINATE?
Any adult can nominate! Most of our nominations come from coaches, parents, administrators, teachers, fans and community members. We encourage schools to share our information out to their school communities so that no young person is overlooked for our awards and scholarships!
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Once a nomination is made, that nominee is automatically eligible for all applicable awards and scholarships based on their sport(s) categories, location and story. We will follow up with the nominee through email for more information and pictures once the nomination is validated by our team.
