Rep. Caroline Fairly Announces Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program
AUSTIN, TEXAS — State Representative Caroline Fairly today announced that her office is now accepting applications for the Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program (TASSP) for the 2025–2026 academic year. This prestigious scholarship offers eligible students up to $30,000 per year for up to four academic years to attend the Texas college or university of their choice.
TASSP was created to encourage young Texans to become leaders in the armed services and to provide significant financial support to those pursuing military service through college-level training programs such as ROTC.
“Texas has a long tradition of service and sacrifice to our nation, and we are proud to invest in the next generation of military leaders,” said Rep. Fairly. “This scholarship is not only a powerful educational opportunity, it’s a way to honor the commitment of students who are choosing a path of service to our country.”
To be considered for a TASSP nomination from Rep. Fairly, a student must meet two of the following four academic criteria at the time of application:
• Be on track to graduate or have graduated high school under the Distinguished Level of Achievement Plan or the International Baccalaureate Program (IB)
• Have earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• Have scored at least 1070 on the SAT or 23 on the ACT
• Be ranked in the top one-third of their high school graduating class
Interested students and families can find full eligibility details on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s website at www.hhloans.com.
Students residing in House District 87 who are interested in being nominated by Rep. Fairly should contact her Capitol office at caroline.fairly@house.texas.gov for more information on how to apply. Applications will be accepted through September 1st, 2025.
