The Project 150 Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony Kicked off on Wednesday at Palace Station in the Grand Ballroom. 102 students received scholarships to attend UNLV, UNR, CSN and Nevada State University. More than $225,000 in scholarship money was given out. 85 of these students are the first in their family going to college.
Money raised was made possible by community partners and sponsors
Project 150 is a nonprofit organization that started 14 years ago to help homeless and displaced students in Southern Nevada. It started with just one school and has grown since to assisting kids in 70+ schools plus it runs two boutiques in town allowing students to “shop” for clothes for school year-round.
