Project 150 has announced that its scholarship program is now accepting applications from graduating high school seniors and current scholarship recipients pursuing higher education at Nevada institutions.
The application period is open until March, with awards to be announced in early June.
These scholarships offer crucial financial support to students attending Nevada's universities, colleges, or accredited vocational training institutions.
In 2024, Project 150 awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to 96 Southern Nevada students, with each recipient receiving up to $4,000.
Notably, 71 of these recipients were first-generation college students.
The scholarship funds are made possible through generous contributions from individuals and companies in Nevada, representing an investment in the future of these young scholars.
As part of the application process, candidates will undergo interviews conducted by community leaders to ensure the selection of the most deserving students.
Kelli Kristo, Executive Director of Project 150, highlighted the program's significance, saying, "We are deeply committed to empowering students by providing them with the financial resources and support needed to achieve their academic dreams. These scholarships open doors for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue higher education, and it’s incredible to witness the impact of our community’s generosity over the past 14 years."
Students interested in applying for financial assistance can visit www.project150.org for application details and requirements.
