ANDOVER — During the Pymatuning Valley (PV) Board of Education regular session meeting on June 30, special presentations were made and information was shared regarding upcoming school-related events.
The special presentation featured the PV Academic Boosters’ presentation of Valedictorian Scholarships.
Jodi Heath, representing the Academic Boosters, was in attendance and presented scholarships to the following students: Kelsie Britton, Austin Dean and Madison Dunbar.
The checks were in the amount of $700 each. In addition, the $1,000 Donald Schmidt Scholarship was presented to Madison Dunbar.
In terms of upcoming events, in the absence of Superintendent Christopher Edison, Treasurer Thomas Brockway shared information regarding PV’s schedule.
The following events were announced with minimal discussion: the Pyma-Laker Dan Dunlap Memorial 5K on Saturday, July 12, at 9 a.m. at Pymatuning State Park; and the 7th annual PV Gold Pride Marching Band Car Show on Sunday, Aug. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Pymatuning High School.
Brockway also noted there will be no board meeting in July. The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 11, 2025.
