The application deadline is Saturday, March 22, 2025.
For Racine students, offerings include three $5,000 CEO Scholarships, a full-tuition scholarship from Herzing University, and seven Carthage College Access Education Awards.
Foundation Chairman Tim Mahone attributes the program’s expansion into Racine to the unwavering support of donors, sponsors, and partners.
“Education creates opportunity, and the scholarship program helps create access by making education more affordable and prepares students for the 21st-century global workplace,” Mahone stated.
Scholarship Committee co-chairs Terri Wruck and Sabrina Morgan emphasize the importance of this growth.
“Expanding our reach into Racine empowers more students with tools needed to succeed,” Wruck noted.
Morgan agreed.
“This is especially valuable for our underserved communities and those that are first in their families to attend college,” she said.
Snap-on Incorporated, headquartered in Kenosha, is a long-time partner with the founation and its CEO program. Michael Bond, Snap-on’s director of community relations, said there are mutual benefits.
“The Mahone Foundation provides Snap-on with an additional channel to identify future associates through our internship program,” he said.
Interested students can obtain applications from their school’s guidance offices or download them from the foundation’s website at www.mahonefund.org. Completed applications can be submitted online or through school guidance counselors.
Scholarship recipients will be honored at the 25th Annual Reaching for Rainbows Pursuit of Excellence Gala on Friday, May 9, 2025. For additional information, contact Sabrina Morgan at morgans@gtc.edu or call 262-564-2362.
