The Boston Red Sox Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026 Lee County Scholarships, which will award $5,000 each to one student from all 15 public high schools, plus one from local charter and ALS schools. The program will distribute 16 scholarships totaling $80,000 to academically strong students committed to community service who plan to attend a two- or four-year college. Applications are available by clicking here and are due by Jan. 9, 2026. Scholarship funds come from proceeds of the annual Swings for the Sox Golf Tournament, which has raised more than $683,000 for local charities, including $598,000 for scholarships.Ā
