ReMA’s Gulf Coast Region chapter awards $44,000, and Paper Stock Industries chapter awards $50,000 in their annual scholarship program.
Two chapters of the Recycling Materials Association (ReMA), Washington, have announced scholarship winners for the 2024-25 school year.
The ReMA Gulf Coast Region (GCR) chapter has selected 22 students for its annual scholarship program, matching its record total in 2023. Each student will receive $2,000 to apply toward tuition at any accredited educational institution designed to meet the requirements for an academic, professional or occupational degree for the 2024 to 2025 academic year. GCR awards scholarships to select students who are dependents of employees of GCR member companies.
The GCR scholarship program operates under the auspices of the William A. Bushman Memorial Scholarship Fund. GCR raises funds for the scholarship program through an annual golf tournament and direct donations.

The ReMA PSI chapter awarded $50,000 to 19 students in its annual academic scholarship program, setting records for the total funds awarded and the number of recipients. This year’s scholarship total includes one $5,000 grand prize scholarship and 18 $2,500 merit scholarships.
Winning students can use the PSI scholarship funds to pay for certificate or degree programs at technical, trade and vocational schools as well as two-year or four-year postsecondary institutions.
The PSI scholarship program is open to students who are dependents of employees in the recycling divisions of PSI Chapter member companies.
The PSI Chapter has been awarding academic scholarships on an annual basis for more than 27 years. Throughout the past 10 years, PSI has increased its annual scholarship awards almost fivefold from four to 19 scholarships, while the dollar amount has grown more than sixfold from $8,000 to $50,000.
