Selecting candidates for scholarships is a multi-step process. The committee consists of nine members who read each of the 22 applications and use their own scoring system.
Each member then selects the top eight to 10 students.
After coming to consensus, the committee forwards the students’ names to the school, and they set up the next step, which is interviewing the students. Students can aspire to attend either a four-year college, junior college or trade school.
