Ruston High School senior Trenton Richard was one of four recipients of the 2025 Meriwether Scholarships. Thirty-four scholarship applications were received from high school seniors across North Louisiana.
A selection committee composed of Meriwether clients reviewed the applications, essays, and accompanying recommendation letters to determine the top applicants.
“We were able to double our scholarship offerings this year thanks to the generosity of several clients who desired to make a positive impact in the lives of students,” said Tracy L. Campbell, Meriwether partner and financial advisor. “We hope to continue to increase the number of scholarships we award next year.”
These students will each receive $1,000 scholarships made payable to their college or university of choice:
*Trenton Richard, a Ruston High School senior who plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and major in sports marketing
*Anderson Dixon, a West Monroe High School senior who plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and major in psychology
*Noel Strange, a Caddo Magnet High School senior who is undecided on his university choice but will major in English
*Jacob Johnson, a West Monroe High School senior who plans to attend the University of Mississippi and major in public policy leadership
