FRANKLIN COUNTY — The Vermont Retail and Grocers Association’s Scholarship Program announces the award of $15,000 in scholarships to ten Vermont students advancing their education at accredited colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions.
Among the recipients are:
Donovan Arnold of Richford, a 2025 graduate of Richford Jr. & Sr. High School, will be attending Clarkson University in Pottsdam, NY.
Camryn Benoit of Franklin, a 2025 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School, will be attending the University of New England in Biddeford, ME.
Both Arnold and Benoit were recommended for scholarships by their employer, Richford’s Main Street Market, a VRGA member.
2025 marks the VRGA Scholarship Program’s 34th continuous year of awarding scholarships to Vermont students employed by businesses that are members of VRGA, or who are dependents of employees or owners of VRGA member businesses. Since its inception in 1992, the VRGA Scholarship Program, which is administered by the Vermont Community Foundation has awarded over half a million dollars to 448 Vermont students. Scholarship funds are raised in part through VRGA’s popular annual Scholarship Golf Outing, which takes place every year in June.
“Understanding the value of education, how it benefits Vermonters and our Vermont communities, the VRGA and its members have been dedicated to helping fund Vermont’s students with tuition assistance for over thirty years through the VRGA Scholarship Program,” VRGA President Ed Fox said. “We’re proud to provide this important resource, and we’re so proud of the hardworking Vermont students who have been awarded scholarships this year.”
