RICHLAND PARISH, La. (KNOE) – The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office is honoring the late Sheriff Gary Gilley in a special way.
Sheriff Gilley, who served as the Richland Parish sheriff for eight years, died on Saturday, December 14. Chief Deputy Neal Harwell and others at the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office established a scholarship fund at Cross Keys Bank to honor his memory.
The Gary Gilley Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarded to one student from Richland Parish who plans to pursue a criminal justice degree.
Contributions to the scholarship fund can be made at any Cross Keys Bank location in place of flowers.
