The Arthur B. Klussendorf Memorial Association and the McKown/Klussendorf Fund have awarded seven exceptional collegiate students with $1,500 scholarships. The National Dairy Shrine Awards Banquet will honor recipients at World Dairy Expo.
Each award aims to support students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, active participation in extracurriculars, and a strong passion for showing dairy cattle in their true-to-breed form. Eligible recipients are in a two- or four-year college in the U.S. or Canada, pursuing careers in the dairy industry.
The McKown Scholarship was created by friends and family of the late Robert “Whitey” McKown, 1997 Honorary Klussendorf honoree and Holstein enthusiast. It recognizes four students from Holstein-focused backgrounds who demonstrate excellence in leadership, judging, and cattle presentation.
The Klussendorf Scholarship honors the legacy of the legendary dairy showman and cattle fitter Arthur B. Klussendorf. Thanks to the generosity of the late Chris Kampf and the continued support of Klussendorf Association members, this award goes to three students who exemplify Klussendorf’s high standards of character and ethics.
