A group of 30 Riverside High School graduating seniors have received Sallie Pat Tackett Scholarship Fund Foundation scholarships.

A group of 30 Riverside High School graduating seniors have received Sallie Pat Tackett Scholarship Fund Foundation scholarships.
At the 25th awards ceremony at Riverside High School, 30 graduating seniors received a $5,000 Sallie Pat Tackett Scholarship Fund Foundation scholarship.
Each senior applicant was interviewed by the East Bank High School Scholarship Committee. The applicants were chosen based upon their academic achievements, community and school involvement, their essay and their commitment to further their education.
“We could not possibly provide these scholarships without the generous support of our sponsors, said Allen Tackett, a member of the scholarship committee.
This year’s sponsors contributed more than $150,000. Several have been contributing to this scholarship fund for many years. The sponsors are EBHS Alumni Association, Quincy Coal Company, Segal Law Firm, James Humphreys, Shonk Land Co., CAMC, Investment Management Group, LLC, Amherst Madison, Salango Law Offices, Pardee Resources, Encova, Larry and Lisa Pack, Oshel Craigo, the Tackett family, James Saultz, Darla Hamilton McCormick, Michael Kirk and many former East Bank High School Graduates. The contributions received has provided more than $1,650,000.00 worth of scholarships to date.
